Artifact Mod is on Hiatus

Hey guys,

I regret to say that due to personal life issues and otherwise, the mod has been put on hiatus for the time being. I’d love to finish the mod eventually, however.

Hi, Just wondering if you plan on making this compatible with other mods. Mainly, there is currently a mod out called Tale of Kingdoms, and it adds things such as archer and warrior companions along with your own plot of land to create a kingdom. It would be great to have them run alongside each other as sort of a plot driven mechanic. ex. Once you become a king and have a tier 2 city, a mysterious stranger wanders in and once you talk to him, that begins the artifact main quest line.

The modder of Tale of Kingdoms may actually be assisting the mod in the future.

Me and a few friends recently found this mod, and we were wondering what exactly was in the mod currently. So far we have only been able to find shields, as you described in your post, and nothing else. Is the divine orb implemented? Obviously the full dungeons aren't, but we wanted to know before we spend too much time trying to figure it out when it isn't released yet. When you do release the full version, we will be one of the first to jump on the download, it looks amazing. Thanks.

The Shields are the only thing currently in available mod. For a variety of reasons, main quest/artifact-related aspects of the mod will be released all at the same time. However, this way we can release smaller features as we go about it. Thanks for your patience!

When your mod is installed, will all new games be "artifact mod" games or is there a way to just select "Survival Artifact" or "Hardcore Artifact"?

It may be possible for us to make it so you can start a new world as an ‘Artifact Mod’ world or a vanilla world. That’s the way Choam originally coded it, we’ll have to see if we can do the same with the new code.

Considering the delay on coding, are you still shooting to release it before the end of the year? If not, do you have a targeted time frame?

I would have loved to have it done before the end of the year, but I don’t think it will be a possibility, given the delays, bad luck with extra coders, and also personal responsibilities. Having Minecraft 1.0 finally done, and Mike back and working on the mod is certainly a boon to the project, and will speed up the release.

Are there ways to prevent someone using other item from mods in dungeons

yes, these protections however can be overrided if some one wants to. but yes you can he we plan to do so.

Will artifacts be enchantable? its also just been to long since ive told you guys how awsome you are so here you go YOU GUYS ARE AWSOME :P.

Enchantable unique/artifact weapons and armor would be pretty darn unbalanced, since they’re already enchanted. We might be adding new unlockable enchantments though.

Will shields be enchantable? If so, will shields have some unique enchants, like "blocks one more heart"?

yes they will, I also want to add enchantment to current items like, bow, arrows and other things.
